Troy

Hi, my name is Troy.  I’m a 2 year old male Rottweiler mix.  I arrived at the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter because I was separated from my original owner and didn’t get along with the puppy that belonged to the people that took me in.  You see, I sometimes think that I’m the boss and show my dominant side.  It’s because of my bossy nature that I wouldn’t do well with a family with small children.

But don’t let that deter you.  Just ask any of the shelter volunteers who will tell you that I’m a “gentle giant”.  I have the cutest droopy eyes that the ladies find simply irresistible.  I just need a knowledgeable, confident owner to be my pack leader and gently remind me of my place in the pack.  With my human leader in place, I’ll make the perfect dog.  I also walk pretty well on a leash and would make a great walking partner.

I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on all my vaccinations.  Stop by the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter and meet me today.  You won’t be disappointed!

Miss Margaret

Hello. Nice to meet you. I'm Miss Margaret. I came to the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter a few months ago as a pregnant stray. I had a litter of healthy kittens who have all since been adopted. Unfortunately, I am still here.

I am a very sweet girl who loves to be held. I like to take my paws and rub them on people's faces. Most people think I'm declawed because they never feel my nails. I am not declawed, just very gentle. I am small and dainty in stature and tend to be a little scared around big cats and loud noises. My coat is a bit long, so I would need someone who wouldn't mind combing me from time to time, but I enjoy every minute of it.

I'm about 1-2 years old, up to date on all my vaccinations, am microchipped and spayed (yep, no more kittens for me!) I would be the perfect companion for a quiet family with older children or possibly an elderly person. Come see me at the DCACC shelter.  I’m really much prettier in person & you can see my sparkling personality for yourself.  You wont’ be disappointed!

Tiny Tim

Hello world! I'm Tiny Tim. I'm only 4 months old and a Rat Terrier which means I have TONS of energy. I can play for hours non stop. You will be exhausted and I will be asking for more. I would strongly advise that you research my breed. Rat Terriers are pretty awesome, but they are not for everyone. I love toys. Any kind of toy will do. It is not advised that I go to a home with small children. I'm very mouthy and have a hard time understanding my teeth hurt. I arrived at the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter as a stray.  I would definitely benefit from training classes. I'm neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, so I can go home and begin my training right away. C'mon let's play!

Marble

I am a 6 month old Pit Bull Puppy.  I came to the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter as a little baby.  My last owner only had me for 4 days and then had to bring me here when the Landlord found out about me.

I am a happy-go-lucky girl.  I  love people and am happiest when I am around them.  I am a playful girl who will play Frisbee or ball for hours.  I love chew toys and stuffed toys that squeak (the louder the better!).

Currently I am in a foster home where I am learning all about living in a home.  I’m very good about going in my crate, and I’ll be really quiet if you give me a peanut butter Kong.  I’m a smart girl and am working on some basic obedience and confidence building.  I’m also learning about potty training (though still have an occasional accident).  I love the relaxed feeling of a house, and after I get some exercise and playtime, I enjoy just sitting by the window and watching all the action outside.  Won’t you stop by the DCACC shelter to meet me? I’ll be waiting!

Romeo and Juliet

Hi, my name is Romeo.  I arrived at the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter with my sister, Juliet, because our people couldn't keep us any more.  I know in the famous play, Romeo and Juliet weren't brother and sister; they were lovers, but I'd rather think of Juliet as my sister.  Anyway, we need to be adopted together ‘cause we'd just be lost without each other.  I'm a little white Poodle and Juliet is a little Poodle/Maltese mix and we're both about 8 years old and we're just as cute as could be.  We're both little cuddle bugs. The two of us together don't take up as much space as one big dog, and we're not old at all.  We get to live together here at DCACC and they're taking good care of us but we'd really like to find that special person or family who's looking for extraordinary little dogs like us.  We’re both spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of our vaccinations.  We have a special adoption rate so that we can go home together:  Adopt one, get the second ½ off!

Rosie

Hi, my name’s Rosie!  I know I’m not what you typically picture when someone thinks of a stray animal, but I arrived here at the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter as a stray.  Imagine that, a beautiful girl like me abandoned on the street!  I’m what’s called a Dwarf Rabbit.  The shelter staff loves the white spots on the tip of my nose and chest.  I’m very active and playful and looking for a family to call my own.

I am spayed and litter box trained.  My adoption fee is $15, but the love I’m capable of giving is priceless. Won’t you take me home?  Stop by the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter to meet me…I’ll be waiting!

Peaches

Peaches

Hi there!  My name is Peaches.  Do you have a minute?  I'll tell you my story.  As a stray cat I befriended a lady that took me in and cared for me.  Shortly after that I delivered a litter of 6 bouncing baby kittens!  That nice lady realized that she was in over her head, and she brought us all to the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter.

I was a loving and attentive mom, so when two other abandoned kittens were brought in I welcomed them to the clan and cared for them too!  My kittens have grown up and been adopted.  Now I'm hoping that it's my turn.  The shelter is a very stressful environment for me, so I am currently in a foster home.  I am a sweet and gentle girl, who is a little shy at first, but once I get to know and  trust you, I'll be your loyal companion.  I'm spayed, vaccinated an microchipped and ready to find my forever family.

Stop by or call the DCACC shelter and ask about me...my foster mom will be glad to bring me in to meet you!

Spencer

Hi there!  My name is Spencer.  Come to the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter, and you won't miss me....I'll be the one reaching out to you through the cage!  I'm a friendly and social boy who definitely would enjoy being smothered with lots of love and attention.  My last owners gave me up because they had too many animals.  I miss them, but I know my forever family is out there somewhere.  I'm fine around other cats, in fact I really enjoy their company.  I'm young and playful, but will settle down for some cuddling too!  I've been microchipped, neutered and am current on my shots.  My adoption fee is $100.  I'd be a great addition to any household, so come on in to meet me today!

Noel

Hi my name is Noel!

I’m in a foster home…...ask about me for adoption!

I am an adult (3-5 year old), female, Collie Mix.   I came into the shelter when I got lost from my family.   I  was anxious in the shelter, but am doing much better now that I am in a Foster home.

\I’m a very special girl who won the hearts of the shelter staff, and now I’ve won the hearts of my foster family too!  I’m a sweet girl who wants to be your best friend.

Here’s what my foster mom has to say about me:

                 I’m fully house broken

                 I’m VERY SMART

I get along with all other animals

I’m very affectionate (an all around great dog)

                 I love long walks

Ask about me, my foster mom will be glad to bring me in to meet you!

Davis

Hi, my name is Davis!  I’m an adult shepherd/hound mix who is looking for a loving forever home.  I am a high energy, spunky dude who loves to be outside.  I could play all day, so I need a good walk or playtime to get my exercise.  I’m somewhat interested in toys, love to run around and I LOVE to eat snowballs—the staff and volunteers get such a kick out of that!  I also really like to walk on a leash and explore.  I do best when I am wearing a harness while we walk but with some consistent leash training, I’ll be walking like a gem in no time.  I generally like other dogs, so I have the potential to be a great playmate for someone!

I’m a super friendly guy who is looking  for a family to love.  I’m neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of my vaccinations.  My adoption fee is $100.  Please come by the DuPage County Animal Care & Control Shelter to meet me today!

Patty

Hi! My name is Patty.  I’ll cut to the chase. I’m a 3 year old, female, Domestic Shorthair with movie-star good looks.  I was found as a stray and have been calling the DuPage County Animal Care & Control shelter my home for almost a year now. The nice shelter staff & volunteers are very fond of me, but they would love nothing more than to see me adopted.  I know there has to be a family for me out there somewhere.  (I feel like that Fivel the mouse character from that Disney movie.)  I’ve seen so many people come and go here at the shelter that it takes me a little while to warm up to strangers; but your patience will pay off.  Anyway, my point is, I have a lot to offer. I’m the perfect combination of playful and loving. I’m always well behaved and get along with other cats.

I’m spayed, microchipped and current on my vaccinations.  My adoption fee is $100.  Won’t you give me a chance and be my forever family?
